Consumer finance · Money movement
Turning a wallet into a financial platform.
- Problem
- A consumer wallet was becoming a broader financial platform.
- Constraints
- New regulated surfaces had to preserve a non-custodial model while coordinating identity, compliance, data, product, and external providers.
- Approach
- Led early technical execution for Money Movement and built provider-agnostic foundations across banking, identity, payments, and multichain systems.
- Result
- Established a credible platform for launching and extending the product inside an environment serving 15M+ monthly active users.
- Lesson
- When regulation and product ambition collide, clean boundaries create speed.
FalconX
Institutional infrastructure · Custody
Building custody from first principles.
- Problem
- Institutional custody needed a foundation for the next wave of assets and products.
- Constraints
- Signing, policy, indexing, broadcasting, balances, and staking all carry unforgiving failure modes.
- Approach
- Architected reusable, event-driven foundations and proved the direction through hands-on prototypes.
- Result
- Turned new-asset support into a repeatable platform capability that product teams could build on.
- Lesson
- The right abstraction is not generality. It is the next launch made safer.
BitGo
Platform scale · Organization design
Scaling the system and the team behind it.
- Problem
- A small protocol team had to become a durable platform organization.
- Constraints
- Institutional products had to remain dependable while network coverage and organizational scope expanded.
- Approach
- Built the leadership layer, developed senior technical leaders, and organized teams around durable platform responsibilities.
- Result
- Helped scale blockchain engineering from 5 to 50+ across seven teams as BitGo reported more than $64B in assets under custody.
- Lesson
- Scale becomes durable when architecture, leadership, and ownership evolve together.
